Our Hue

The earth is such a tiny home

that nurtures hearts immense.

Deep into the dark, I roam,

dancing the great expanse.

The universe is fully known,

every careless cosmic romance,

so don't ever think that you're alone.

Nothing here is left to chance.

So, look up in your starry sky.
I twinkle just for you.

And how I wish that you could fly;

Oh, how you'd love the view.

Above the clouds, you could be mine

and I would be yours too

and those below would see our shine;

they'd shimmer in our hue.

Finite

The spark of glitter
in my eyes,
the shakes, the jitters,
I can't deny.
I hear a song,
can't make the words.
I sing along.
I think you heard.
Air in my hair,
you in my blood,
somehow I'm there
in the moon and the sun.

But it's finite and fake,
fever dream, not fact;
it's the best we can make;
it's a suicide pact.
I can't breathe.
My voice is choked.
I'm underneath
a heavy cloak.
Alone in blackness,
covered in scars.
I think the blackness
overtook the stars.

Vastness

The vastness takes

my breath away.

The void rocks

to and fro.

Through the dark,

despite the light,

you somehow found

my glow.

When you breath,

I'll be your air.

Hold me in.

Don't let go.

This atmosphere

is all we have.

Heart beat.

Blood flow.
